Kisoro Water Access Initiative (KWAI) was formed to improve water access in Kisoro, a region in southern Uganda. Kisoro suffers from poor infrastructure which leads to water scarcity. For this reason, KWAI has chosen to focus on rainwater harvesting to allow local populations to increase and diversify their water sources. We would like to invite a team of students to improve the efficiency of our current tank design and create an instruction manual for use in the field. Depending on the success of the project, team members could also be involved in fundraising, project planning and implementation of the rainwater tanks.
All students are welcome to apply, but we are primarily looking for engineers interested in sustainable infrastructure and international development.
